Melbourne Loong Football Club
Melbourne Loong Football Club (MLFC) is the first registered Chinese community Australian Rules Football club in Melbourne, proudly recognised and supported by the AFL.
We are a community-driven club built on the belief that sport can bring people together across cultures, backgrounds, and experiences. MLFC provides a welcoming and inclusive environment where players, families, and supporters can connect through football.
Our Story
MLFC was founded with a clear purpose — to create a pathway for the Chinese community to access and participate in Australian Rules Football, a sport that many had limited exposure to.
We began as a small group of passionate individuals, and has grown into a vibrant and expanding club, bringing together people from across Melbourne.
Today, MLFC represents not only a football team, but a platform for cultural connection and community engagement.
We have proudly participated in major community events such as the AFL Unity Cup and continue to work alongside organisations like the AFL to promote diversity and inclusion in sport.
